Absentee Voting

A qualified voter must obtain an application for absentee ballot:

  • In person: Not more than 90 days or less and 1 day prior to the election.
  • By Mail Inside the US: Not more than 90 days or less than 5 days prior to the election.
  • By Mail Outside the US: Not less than 30 days prior to the election to receive full ballot or; less than 30 days prior to the election, but more than 10 days prior to the election to receive a Federal Ballot only.

Traditional Voter Registration

Grace Period Registration & Voting

Anyone that has missed the deadline to register to vote and lives within the city limits of Aurora, in the counties of Kane, Kendall or Will, may choose grace period registration, starting the 27th day through the close of polls on the day of the election. Please be aware that if you choose to register or update your registration during the grace period, it can only be done in the office of the AEC and you must cast your ballot at that time
